The "Farm Outfit"

I have a "uniform". Every day, day after day, I wear the same thing. My red "farm shirt". My blue jeans. My yellow rain boots. And my farm hat. It is the first thing I think of when I wake up in the morning. Mommy has been known to wash it at night while I'm sleeping to make sure it is fresh and clean in the morning when I am looking for it. I've worn it almost every day since my birthday back in September, so it's going on over 3 months now! Everyone at school and at church knows about it - how could they not? I'm wearing it EVERY time they see me. They all smile and nod and tell me how much they like "the farm shirt" - so of course, that just makes me want to wear it again the next day. I've already been through 3 farm hats already. Here is a picture of the first one that dissolved into straw from overwearing it. Thank goodness Mommy figured out where to buy them for $1 each. I think I'm ready for a new one again. Oh - and take note of my new monkey too - we went to Build a Bear and of course, I had to find and dress something that looked like me!

See? It's ALL GONE!

I am always extremely proud when I eat all my dinner - I make Mommy come and check out my mouth to see that my food is "all gone!" My face looks a little distorted but it's only because I'm opening my mouth as wide as I can stand it!

Just like my sister...

My daddy about had a heart attack when Mommy showed him these pictures but she just smiled and thought - future blackmail photos! Growing up with an older sister has to have an impact on me somehow! I see her playing with all these goodies day after day, it's only fair that I get a turn! Please note all aspects of my attire too - right down to the butterflies panties!

Happy Halloween!

Here I am, all dressed up like Peter Pan (not Robin Hood). I really enjoyed the trick or treating once we got going - I ate my candy as we went.

TRUNK or TREAT!

Today, after a long day at the local pumpkin patch, we went to the church that hosts me & Tori's Kids Day Out program and they had a "Trunk or Treat" day so we got to dress up in our Halloween costumes a week earlier and get a jump start on our cavities! Mommy always likes us to have matchy, matchy costumes (next year I'll be putting an end to that!) and this year Tori is obsessed with Tinkerbell so guess who I got to be? You guessed it - Peter Pan. Although most people kept saying, Ahhhh... how cute - Robin Hood! Oh well, I did look pretty cool if I do say so myself and I got myself a pumpkin full of candy to take home - although I ate more than have of it in the car!

Mommy got a new do!

Mommy finally accepted the fact that she hates wearing her hair in a ponytail day in and day out so she had enough and got Ms. Erin to chop it all off! I think it looks pretty nice and Mommy does too!

Mahaffie's Wild Wild West!

Last weekend there was a local event at the Mahaffie Farm called the Wild West Show - it was a lot of fun! We've never been before but it is for sure going to be a yearly event for our family! We got to do lots of pony rides - my first time ever! - and I had a blast! We also got to try all sorts of free samples of food prepared at different chuck wagons - Mommy and Daddy were very impressed by the different foods they prepared with such minimal cooking equipment - it was delicious! And the thing that I am most excited about is next year, I am going to enter in the sheep riding contest! It reminded us of seeing people getting bucked off of bulls! Daddy tried to sneak me out into this year but Mommy refused - she said that I was too little but I sure did want to go! Mommy is scared that I'll get hurt so she'll probably make me look a dork and wear a bicycle helmet but I got a whole year to work on her!

MOPS Marigolds

Last Spring at MOPS, Mommy did a craft where they planted marigold seeds in a tiny cup - she took them home and transferred it and lo and behold, look how many flowers we have still even now! Not even with me going out there every day and plucking them all the time has ruined them!

Pyro-man strikes again...

I am going to be the death of Mommy - literally. Today, while we were all outside playing on the swing, Mommy popped inside really quick to leave a note for Jerry & Will's mommy to let her know we were outside in the backyard and she noticed a "burnt plastic" smell... She checked the stove and even the dishwasher trying to track it down and even asked Marsha to come smell... she kept racking her brain to see where the smell could be coming from... and then she remembered what happened to Victoria's panties earlier in the year... so she quickly ran to look at the overhead foyer light and sure enough - smoke was pouring out of it!

She quickly retrieved the ladder and looked up in it and there was my lovey item - "Dog-Dog" that I sleep with every night!!! I apparently came into the house, went up 3 flights of stairs, went to my room, got Dog-Dog and "Kit-Kat", Dog-Dog's partner, my other lovey item, and threw them at the light over the banister and came back outside without Mommy noticing - no comments about that please. Kit-Kat was on the floor under the light so luckily, his fate was spared but Dog-Dog was not so fortunate.

Mommy is very distraught to think that I almost burned the house down - again. I think that this time though Mommy got the point across to me because she made me look at Dog-Dog after she pried his melted mess out of the light and the sight of him so visibly disfigured has scarred me for life. Both Victoria and myself sobbed with fear in our eyes and could not bear to look but Mommy made us - she even tried to get me to touch it but it was too much to handle. But I think I "get it" now - throwing things into the foyer light is not a good thing to do. It kills things.

Now, the next adventure is going to be to see how I go to sleep tonight without Dog-Dog. Stay tuned...

Mommy had a rough day today...

Today was a rough day for Mommy. First, not only did I come sit in her lap bare-bottomed after going potty, I somehow had a piece of "poop" stuck in my crack cuz it got all smeared all over her arm and clothes. She was not very happy when she realized it. I had to take a bath in the sink while she got cleaned off. Then later, Victoria had an accident in her pull-up during her nap and took it off before Mommy realized it and Tori stepped all in it and tracked it all over Mommy's bedroom. Another big mess to clean.

But, on the brighter side, I had a great time with my bubble bath in the sink - I got a little carried away with the bubbles but hey - the more, the better!

Happy Birthday to me!

This weekend was my 2nd birthday (and Daddy's 38th birthday too!) We celebrated at Deanna Rose Farmstead - my favorite place. I woke up at my usual 5:45am and told Mommy I was ready to go to "the farm". We had a lot of fun walking around the farm with my friends from church and the neighborhood. I even got to go fishing and bust open a pinada full of candy! I love all my presents and I was a very happy (but tired) little boy!

I love flubber too!

Mommy posted the recipe for flubber on Tori's website but I had to share how much I love it too! It is the perfect medium for little boys to play with - it's cold, it's gooey, it stretches, it's messy, it just feels fun!

I love slides!

We found a new (to us, actually an old one) playground near our house! It had a super cool slide that Mommy thought was too big for me but I proved her wrong! I love scary rides and I am so brave!

Potty trained already???

Mommy can't believe her very eyes but I decided all the sudden that I am ready to be potty trained! She thought that for sure it was going to be another year or so, cuz you always hear how boys take longer than girls, but since I get to watch Tori go potty every day, I figured out that I wanted to get in on the action! I LOVE sitting on the big potty! I find it very interesting seeing how my body parts work together! I get very excited when I get to flush something down the toliet - especially when I get to see it come out first! Mommy can't wait to show these photos at my high school graduation or better yet, my wedding one day! Oh, she wouldn't dare... or would she????

Jolly Green Giant!

Mommy planted an elephant ear plant on our deck and I thought that one of the leaves made a really good hat!! (cuz you know I LOVE hats!)

Dressing up "Thai" style

Grandma brought us back some outfits from Thailand so we had to model them for her! She loves seeing us wear our native clothing!

My babe on my bike!

Ava and I love each other so much, it's not even funny! Mommy saw us cruzing down the driveway and had a mental flash-forward of what we'll be like in about 16 years! I hope her dad doesn't have a shotgun!

Tuckered out by Deanna Rose Farmstead

When Aunt Noel & Uncle Nick were here, we took them to the Deanna Rose Farmstead - it was so much fun seeing all the animals and playing in the playground but by the time we went home, I was wore out and fell asleep on the way back to the car!

How'd ya do that????

Mommy is always complaining about how I get into trouble all the time! And so much of it is a mystery to her! The first one is of me being attacked by the high chair! And then this morning she heard me calling for her and she came down and found me halfway stranded on the kitchen counter - with no idea how I got there either! It's my little secret!

A little mud never hurt anyone....

So, Mommy planted her garden again this year. We're growing carrots, onions, lettuce, beans, tomatoes, peppers, squash and cucumbers. I am all about playing in the dirt right alongside her. I love digging for worms and just getting my hands dirty, much to Mommy's dismay. She's afraid that I am going to ruin her plants but I'm really just helping!

Summertime fun!

I love summer! I am always telling Mommy "outside! outside!" I love being barefoot and popsicles! I love swimming and exploring and just being outdoors! No TV for me - it's way too boring! I am definitely not an "indoor" kid!

Cutest Kids Contest!

Grandma secretly entered me and Tori into a Cutest Kids Contest and I won first runner up! I got a savings bond and a cool plaque - Mommy is quite proud!

I'm a Pyro-Man!

So, get a load of my latest escapade!!!

Mommy went to Walmart and left Daddy in charge of us kids - and you know how all Moms jokingly fear that if you leave the Dad in charge, the house will burn down? Well, today it almost came true!

Daddy was "watching" us and then he started to smell smoke burning and he searched the house looking for the source - the next thing he knows, he looks up and the light is on fire!

Now, let me explain. I've recently discovered gravity and spend a lot of my time during the days throwing things up in the air over and over again. I'm fascinated with seeing it fall. Apparently, in the midst of me practicing this artform, I threw a pair of Victoria's panties up into the entranceway light and it caught fire. Daddy had to run to the garage and get the ladder to get it out and put the fire out. Luckily, nothing major was damaged - just the panties.

Oh - and I might want to add that I am fascinated with panties in general. I keep making Mommy put them on me so I wear about 20 - 30 at a time. I have a very big tushy!!!

Yet another HAT!

I'm telling you - I LOVE HATS! I can make anything into one!
