Santa Claus came to town...

Mommy took me to go see Santa Claus at Bass Pro Shop - all I cared about was getting to hold a rifle and practice shooting at targets I didn't care how long the line was, the longer we were there, the longer I got to play.

But finally, we did get to see him and again, true to form, I did not want to get my picture taken - I guess I could be worse - I could be one of those kids that cries or kicks and screams - I just cover my face with my arm and refuse to look at the camera. They finally got a decent shot - I did not smile and you can tell by Santa's expression, he was about to put me on the naughty list. Oh well, Mommy was happy...

Making gingerbread houses

Mommy prayed for children that loved to do crafts and kitchen things - well, her prayers were answered - I am SOOOOOO crafty! I love anything in the kitchen - anytime I hear the wheat grinder or the mixer start, I am there. So, imagine my interest peaking when she allowed me access to all the sprinkles, icing, decorations galore at my disposal! I had so much fun decorating (and taste testing) my gingerbread house! You may also note my attire - it really hasn't changed much in the past 1 1/2 years - still same red farmer shirt, hat, cowboy boots (not pictured) and my latest addition is the bandana around my neck. At least I don't create a lot of laundry in the house, right?

People looking at me = stage fright

For being such a class clown, I really don't like being the center of attention. I mean, I do, but only on my terms. Like, sticking me up on a stage in front of 500+ people with other kids isn't part of my terms.

On Sunday, Dec 13 - our church invited the preschoolers to come sing a few Christmas songs in front of the church - Mommy was so excited that both me & Tori would get to go it - great photo op, right? We sang for 2 services - the first service, Mommy made sure to be right up in the front row so she could get a good shot - Victoria walked out on stage first and was all beaming and smiles. My class was last to arrive - I guess we were the youngest so they put us out front - I was so timid and barely could make the walk across the stage but blindly followed command - that is, until, I spotted Mommy sitting right in front and so I ended up running across the stage and then immediately jumped down & dove into her lap! She allowed me to sit the first service out but then they sent me back in for a 2nd run...

This time Mommy stayed in the backrow so she would be more hidden - and this time the teachers allowed me to walk out hand in hand with Victoria. I lasted a few extra minutes on the stage as I scanned the audience eagerly searching for Mommy - it didn't matter how many bulletins she tried to hide behind, I still was able to find her - and this time, I dove off the stage and ran down the aisle. When she offered me a piece of candy to go back and sing first, I decided that was an okay plan so I ran back up to the stage and tried to climb up the same way I departed - however, my little legs just weren't quite big enough so they dangled from the stage and all you could see was my little bum sticking up in the air and my legs kicking furiously trying to propel back onto the stage. Luckily, a teacher quickly came and rescued me and I made it back on the stage. However, that is all I did - I refused to sing - in fact, all I did was discover that I had a sticker on my shirt and played with it over and over again. I did at least last the entire song but once it was over - whooshh --- I jumped the stage again and ran back down to Mommy - she quickly reminded me that there was one more song to sing so back I went, same routine. Apparently, it was quite comical for everyone in the audience to watch and the pastor even said that he called that "stage diving!" Mommy wasn't able to get all the diving on video but she did get this clip of me fidgeting with my sticker...

Are you a nut? Taking ME to the Nutcracker???

What were you thinking??Like I would be able to sit through 2 hours of this!
This is where I shrieked out, "Mommy! That man is naked!"
I had to get a closer look to make sure!
I was mostly good, but probably next year Tori should go alone with Mommy!

Where is the rest of my snow???

I've been waiting all year for the snow to come so I can go sledding and this is it? I better get some more before the year end!!

Christmas pictures

As you can see, for some reason, I get camera shy whenever Mommy wants to take a group picture. I fought it as best as I could but she finally got a few shots of me not covering my face with my arm, my standard coverup. Merry Christmas, everyone!

Grandma's in town!

Had a great time with Grandma & Grandpa Lee during Thanksgiving(except Grandpa was really sick!)
I love my Aunt Noel & Uncle Nick too! Mommy promises to take a pix of me with Aunt Noel during Christmas!

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

For Mommy's 36th B-day, she asked Daddy to take us to the $$ store so we could pick out whatever our hearts desire for her b-day gift - I deliberated long and hard but it was a pretty easy decision - I just knew that she was going to love a huge gigantic candy cane! For some reason though, she expected me to actually give it to her, which didn't make sense because I was the only one who was allowed to hold it, touch it, or play with it. Unfortuately, a few whacks here and there and it shattered within a week. Oh well, I guess I'll have to get you a new present next year...

Church hayride

Here we are on the church hayride...
Me and Daddy had a lot of fun!

Sisterly kisses

Ugh - why does she keep doing this to me??

Our new moped...

Our neighbor had a garage sale earlier this summer and was giving away a "free" moped so Daddy gladly took it off their hands. It only needed a little work, so he thought... hundreds of dollars later, it is finally running and I couldn't be more pleased - I love for Daddy to take me around for a quick spin around the block!

Daycare friends

This is how Mommy gets around with 6 kids in tow...

Fall time

This picture of me and Charlee (one of my daycare friends) is one of Mommy's favorite...

Happy Halloween!

I was very excited to pick out my batman costume in early October - I loved running around with my cape sailing in the winds behind me - don't you love the cowboy boots to go along with it?

My new bunkbeds & newly painted room!

We recently got our entire house interior painted and it made such a dramatic difference. I came home from school and it was done all in one day. I wandered the house in awe admiring the new look. Then I got to my room - and it was just plain boring white walls again. In disgust, I cried - They forgot to do my room! So, Mommy and Daddy had pity on me and got motivated to finish my room that was never done. I am so glad that they did! I slept in Tori's room for a few days until it was completed but when it was - I was beyond excited! I go in my room unsuspecting and am blown away by the transformation.
My old room...oh, how boring... My new room... Can you see how excited I was? (Tori was too)

The Mutton Busting that never happened...

After an entire year of Daddy being so pumped up at the thought of me "mutton busting", the day finally arrived. I was so ready and excited to do it - even though I kept saying that "I was going to fall and crack my head open like an egg". This should have been the first sign that I wasn't going to follow through with my big talk. Here I am, all loaded up - the announcer has called my name. Time to go.
Then, I see another kid go and get dragged through the mud. It did NOT look fun. So, enough of that - I got off and walked away, my head held high. (never mind the fact that I had wet my pants in terror - I was not about to do something that I didn't want to do.

I much rather preferred to watch all the other crazy kids with no sense get dragged and trampled by sheep - much safer view from down here.

I love my daddy that he didn't make me do it, even though I knew that he really wanted me to. There is always next year...

Happy Birthday to me! I'm now 3!

Can you believe that I am 3 years old now? Mommy can not believe it either - it feels like we just moved from Georgia and now we are becoming KS locals (I've always been a local since I've technically never lived in GA).

Even though Mommy has major Mommy guilt that she didn't do a "real" birthday party for me this year (just too much going on this month), I had a great birthday! First, we started off in Georgia last month with a joint b-day party with Victoria so our GA friends and family could celebrate with us. Then, me and my daycare friends went to Zonkers (kind of like Chucky-Cheese, but complete with indoor rides like roller coasters). I had so much fun riding all the rides - I could do them all and I wasn't scared on any of them!

I got lots of great presents this year too - I got a big boy bike (I am a pro at it already!), a train table, (thanks Marsha & Charna too!) a soccer sleeping bag for all our family/neighborhood camping trips, a thing to race my matchbox cars on, and best of all, a bedroom makeover! Mommy will post those pix in a different post but if you could have only seen my room before, you'd realize how awesome it looks now. I had a great birthday! When I woke up the day after my birthday, I asked Mommy if my birthday was over and when she said yes, I broke down into tears because I wanted my special day to continue on more! Oh well, there is always next year!!!
